Health and Research Understanding The way that stigma, race, and class intersect to influence policies and practices related to alcohol or substance use during pregnancy are complex. What does stigma broadly look like, and how does it impact the wellbeing of South Dakota women and children, and communities at large?
Maridee Shogren is our final speaker in our virtual forum series. She will wrap up the speaker panel by discussing holistically the health, wellbeing and research of pregnant women and substance and alcohol use. She is a leader in North Dakota with her work to increase access to treatment and care and building community awareness and support for women.

Introducing Circles of Care with Program Manager Eltina Three Stars.
The Community Support Groups, offered by OHC at the Lacrosse location, serve as training for friends and family members concerned about loved ones who live with a substance use disorder. The program is based on the Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) model, a highly effective, evidence-based, motivational program that impacts communities and families in multiple areas of their lives.
